Mrs. Hicks stated, "all of the participants did an excellent job, and when you see them you should congratulate them on a job well done.  They were all so awesome it was hard to choose a winner.  Of course, we did choose our winners (that was the whole point, right?) and they are as follows:"

2nd place was actually a tie for the first time.  Our second place winners are: Phaedra Alexander and Johntavis McKinnon.
1st place:  Kayla Ferguson-Connor (She will be participating in Poetry Out Loud at the state level in Tampa.)
