MCHS Blood Drive - October 23

 

RN and Teacher Monica Dyke, Career and Technical Education Medical Skills, held the school's second annual blood drive.  Many students, teachers and parents signed up and provided a great success for our community.  RN Dyke stated she had 75 register to donate blood and out of that 56 were new donators.  Not all 75 registers donors were able to give blood as determined by Red Cross, but from that blood drive Madison County gained 46 units of blood to it blood bank thanks to the students, staff, and parents that participated in the Blood Drive.  RN Dyke comments, "We had an overall increase of 31 percent of people that register and an increase of 27 percent of blood donated from last year!"
