MCHS Senior 2018 Information: February Update

Seniors:  Graduation is right around the corner! Make sure you have ALL of your credits, and also put forth maximum effort in all of your classes! Here are some upcoming dates:
  • Senior Picture Retakes: This Saturday, February 24, 9:00-3:00. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Donn Smith (Ex. 5752)
  • Order Caps/Gowns/Graduation Regalia: If you have not ordered your cap and gown yet, you need to do so IMMEDIATELY at www.herffjonestallahassee.com or call them at (850) 792-5110. Mr. Brad Maxwell, the Herff-Jones representative, will be here on Friday, March 2.  He will be taking FINAL cap and gown orders and delivering graduation supplies that you ordered. His records show that you owe ___________. If for some reason you do not graduate, Herff Jones will refund your money for your cap and gown.
  • Beta Club Students: Order your senior regalia ASAP. Prices are $32.00 or $44.50. See Mrs. Griffin ASAP. Deadline is April 6.
  • SAT Dates:  March 10 (registration deadline 2/27: Not on MCHS Campus); May 5 (deadline 4/6); June 2 (deadline 5/5). See Mrs. Primm in career center.
  • ACT DATES:  April 14 (deadline 3/9; given at MCHS); June 9 (deadline 5/4); July 14 (deadline 6/15).  See Mrs. Primm.
  • IMPORTANT TESTS: Feb. 26 Writing Retakes; March 20/21-Reading Retakes; March 23-PERT math for concordant score; March 26/27-Algebra I Retakes
  • Graduation Requirements: If you have any questions about graduation requirements, please see Mrs. Candida Akins. Her school number is 973-5784.
  • Grad Bash: Grad Bash at Universal Studios is schedule for Saturday, April 28.  There are a few seats left on the Annett motor coaches. The price for the trip is $125. This includes your Grad Bash ticket, motor coach, driver, and gas. If you have not already signed up,    a $60 deposit is due IMMEDIATELY.  AVAILABLE SEATS ARE LIMITED AND WILL BE FILLED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. Students must be on track for graduation, must have good school attendance, must have no major referrals, and must exhibit good behavior in classes. Do not sign up if you have excessive referrals. See Mrs. Griffin in the media center.
  • Grad Bash Final Payment of $65 is due no later than Friday, March 23.
  • Senior Exams: Monday, May 14-Friday, May 18
  • Friday, May 18: Senior Walk and Picnic
  • Tuesday, May 22: Baccalaureate at NFCC Auditorium, 7:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 23: Senior Awards Night at MCHS gym, 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 25: Graduation at Boothill, 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 25-Saturday, May 26: Project Graduation, 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
